TRAINING AT STRENGTH SPORTS GYM
Of course not, people come to SSG to get stronger. There are no prerequisites!
Many of our members had little or no experience in strength training before coming to SSG.
We cater to all levels of ability.
Although we have many members who compete in powerlifting, the majority of our members train purely for their own enjoyment and benefit.
A lot of people are intimidated at the thought of training alongside competitive lifters but the reality is theyre just regular people that love to train and enjoy testing their strength in a competitive setting.
You’ll often find that the strongest lifters usually have a wealth of knowledge that they’re more than happy to share!
SSG has a wide range of people with differing levels of ability and different goals, but the common trait is that they all want to improve in some way, whether that be in strength, sports performance, injury rehab, size/body composition or quality of life.
The best way to start is with a coach. Join us for a coaching session so we can teach you how to lift correctly and get you off on the right foot.
Not at all. At some point you may choose to acquire equipment such as lifting shoes, a powerlifting belt, wrist wraps and knee sleeves but none of these are required.
Should you be looking to try out or purchase any equipment, we can outfit you.
The Gym
Strength Sports Gym is open from 9am-8pm (Mon-Fri) and 9am-12pm (Saturday).
Yes, 24/7 access is available to approved members.
Casual visits are $20
Absolutely; we can show you around the gym, just Contact Us prior so we can ensure we aren’t busy coaching clients at the time.

Yes, we have allocated carparks and ample street parking also.
Yes, we have a bus stop 150m from the gym and are located approx 2km from the nearest train station (25min walk)
